Do you use physical punishment?
So as usual I'm working on a paper..and I want some opinions. Feel free to leave comments if you don't feel any of the answers apply to your situation.

I said other because Jensen is way too young now to even be thinking about punishing. What does he do? He's a baby, if he throws a fit oh well, it's part of the process and he doesn't know any better. For us, swatting the butt COMFORTS Jensen. My mom used to rock him to sleep by patting his butt and now if you "spank" him (obviously not with excessive force) he goes into a little trance and just relaxes. He thinks it's funny and it's even a bonding experience for us. Under no circumstance do I want that to change and I certainly don't want him associating our playing with pain. I am not going to say "never" because I've never raised a child before and I don't know. Maybe someday a situation will come up that calls for it, but as it is we PLAN not to ever hit our child.
Here's a fact that will surprise you Amy. 75% of mothers in England admit to spanking a child before their first birthday.
We have swatted hands before, but only a few times. He's almost two and can understand quite a bit about being naughty.
75% spanking before a year, woowww. We still haven't spanked his bottom and hope to never need to.
